Answer to continue safely

Is it safe to keep using?

No. Running the washer without adequate water can damage the drum bearings and heating element. Do not start cycles until F02 is resolved.

Can I reset the code?

Yes. Yes. Turn off at mains for 5 minutes. But the reset only clears the display — if water supply is still restricted, the code will return.

When to stop immediately?

Stop if you notice: The drum does not fill at all, The inlet valve buzzes but no water enters.

Symptoms You May Notice

Cycle does not progress past fill phase

The machine stalls at the beginning trying to fill the drum

Very little water inside the drum

Opening the door reveals the drum is nearly empty

No water sounds during fill

You do not hear water entering the machine when a cycle starts

Detergent drawer remains dry

Water normally flows through the detergent drawer — if dry, no water is entering

Possible Causes

Water Supply Tap Closed

The shut-off valve feeding the washing machine is not open. This is the #1 cause.

Safe Checks You Can Do

These checks are safe for homeowners. No disassembly required. Do not remove panels or access internal components.
  1. 1

    Check the Water Tap

Locate the shut-off valve behind or beside the washing machine. Turn it fully counterclockwise to ensure it is completely open.

This is the most common cause — especially after plumbing work or moving the machine.

  2. 2

    Inspect the Inlet Hose

Check the hose from the tap to the machine for kinks or tight bends. Straighten any sharp angles.

The hose should have a gentle curve with no sharp bends within 10 cm of connections.

  3. 3

    Clean the Inlet Filter

Turn off water supply. Unscrew the hose from the machine. Remove the mesh filter with pliers and rinse under water.

Soak in vinegar for 15 minutes if there is mineral buildup.

    Tools required
  4. 4

    Test Water Pressure

Run another tap while no other fixtures are in use. If flow is weak, the issue is household pressure.

Try running the washer when no other appliances are using water.

  5. 5

    Power Reset

Turn off at mains for 5 minutes. Restart and run a new cycle.

If the drum fills normally after reset, the issue was transient.
