Remove and Reseat the Brew Unit
Open the service door. Remove the brew unit (press the release button). Clean it under running water. Let it dry. Reinsert firmly until it clicks.
The brew unit should slide in smoothly and click into place.

Remove all coffee grounds from the brew unit housing and the unit itself. Check the rails for compacted grounds.
Use a soft brush to clean the housing cavity.
